Birth of an Assassin
Rik had listened to a number of auditions vying for the narration of the thriller Birth of an Assassin, and they were all more than capable of carrying it off, but on hearing Dennis Kleinman’s rendition he knew there could be no other for the job. The spectrum of accomplished dialects Dennis has in his repertoire is really quite amazing and Stone is more than a little proud to have him produce this series of audiobooks. Visit Dennis’s Website

REVIEWS FOR THE SERIES
Birth of an Assassin
Gripping Story, Awesome Narration!
I was pulled into this book by Rik Stone from the very beginning. There is so much going on with this book from the action, the treason, the motivation, love, and corruption. I absolutely loved the twists in the book. The historical descriptions also added to the book. I thought the narration was really well done by Dennis Kleinman. Both the author and narrator were new to me. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I would listen to more books by this author and narrator.
The Turkish Connection
Revenge is a great motivator!
Rik Stone wrote a gripping book featuring Mehmet. Parts of the story were reminiscent to the Artful Dodger, with street urchins doing what they must to survive. This book delves much deeper and has many more layers. The tie-in the book A Birth of an Assassin in thru the sister of Jez. I liked how this was not a full continuation of that book, but an enhancement. The desire for revenge is in this action-packed book, along with unexpected twists, corruption, and redemption. I thought the narration by Dennis Kleinman was very fitting and he did the book justice. The imagery in this book was great too. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I would definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.
The Man in the Blue Fez
This is the third book by Rik Stone that I have listened to. I love his writing style, although he deals with a difficult subject that has historical details woven in. I like it when an author takes things from history and melds it with fiction to write a believable story. This book primarily takes place in both Russia and Turkey, and features Jez and Anna. The imagery in the story is well done, although it does include detailed violence. There is torture, deceit, manipulation, and pure evil. Dennis Kleinman did a great performance with this book. He added suspense to the story, and his distinguished voices for various characters made it easy to know who was speaking. This book is part of a series and a standalone listen.
