Stephanie Montalvo is a classically trained stage actor whose audiobook style is rich and youthful, quick, and has an upbeat pace that will pull you along comfortably through the story. The more completed chapters Rik received from her, the more he knew she had been the perfect choice to produce this exciting Brazilian tale of drugs and assassination. For other works by Stephanie, click on Audible or visit her website.
A Destiny to Die For never reached the audition pool. Instead, even before the paperback and eBook were published, Rik trawled through the producers on the Audible audiobook site – and there are a lot of them! Unlike what it might sound, he wasn’t looking for a narrator; he wanted to imagine the story with a voice behind it. It takes a lot of patience and imagination and a lot of hours had passed before he happened upon samples by Stephanie Montalvo. When he did, it was no longer a passing interest. The decision was made right there and then. He didn’t want her to produce the audio; he needed her to do it. As soon as the book versions were published, he approached her about producing the audio version. He asked nicely but was willing to beg. She asked for a digital copy of the book before making a decision and Rik’s luck was in; she loved it. Listen to the sample below, I think you’ll like it, too.
A Destiny to Die For – Complete
A Destiny to Die For – Book II
A little girl born and raised in a Brazilian slum goes from child pickpocket to teen drug dealer to paid assassin. Her unbelievable ability to compartmentalize her actions, even at an early age, gives insight into the hard life where she must fight for everything. Although fiction, it feels real. – 5 Stars, Q Garcia.
A detailed murder mystery that is enhanced by the thoughts of the murderess, both regrets and concern that she does not feel more guilt. Her life story from childhood to her twenties. – 5 Stars, Kaylady
What superb freshness in this brilliant story. I was engaged from the beginning and held to the end. Narration and characterization was brilliant. Can’t wait for next book. – 5 Stars, Major task
